Certification as a Functional Safety Engineer

The training and certification as a functional safety Engineer (CFS Eng) follow IEC 17024, IEC 61508, IEC 61511, ISA 84.00.01 and IEC 61513.

 

The program is subject to rigorous auditing and supervision. It aims at increasing and demonstrating functional safety skills which improves the development and career path for the candidates.

 

The certification requires reviewing the working history, certificates,  skills and passing the exam. There is no minimum years  of work required although it is practically useful to be able to pass the exam.

 

The exam duration is 3 hours and the certification is valid for 5 years.
